Steady As She Rose + Teenage Dream

This has been my mani since last Thursday, so excuse any imperfections. I think it's held up pretty well, though, all things considered. I'm sad that I didn't get pics of this in the sun, but the weather is crappy here today.

I've made a few really exciting polish purchases recently (for a friggin' steal, too!), so I'm super excited for everything to get here.

Haulage

Some recent purchases. The OPIs were mainly purchased for the display art. I adore the Pirates franchise, okay?! They could make ten more movies and I'd watch them all happily. Slap that skull and cross-swords logo on anything and I'd feel obligates as a fan of the film series to purchase it. Even owning these I still feel the need to get the mini set, too.

DAMN YOU, OPI.

OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection.

 OPI Silver Shatter

Zoya Snow White, Gaia, Danielle and Gigi

 Zoya Shimmer, Phoebe and Raven

Orly Meet Me Under the Mistletoe and Milani Gems (pink glitter version)

Essie Turquoise & Caicos + OPI Silver Shatter

I'm back, after having not one, but BOTH of my cameras being out of commision for a while. And I return with my current mani, which is going on four days strong. I LOVE this combination SO MUCH. I seriously can't stop staring at my nails.

Kelancolor Red-Hot

Apt polish name is apt.

It's pretty enough in the bottle:

And pretty meh when swatched alone:

But when layered over black (Pop Beauty Black, in this case), it is RED HOT:

I LOVE this mani, and I'm so sad I'm going to be removing it shortly (need to file in the worst way! ack!). This polish looks great over Milani Garnet Gems (or CG Lubu Heels or any similar shade), too, which is what I should have paired it with in the first place, but I forgot I had it and just wound up swatching that combination on a false nail after my full mani was done.

Loooove.

Definitely going to break this one out again after Easter, but on shorter nails and I'm sure I'll love it even more then, just because I prefer wearing darker shades on shorter talons.

Kleancolor has a ton of crazy, fun glitters, along with your more normal shades, and they're super affordable. They even offer free shipping over $40 on their website. I got this one from ebay, but I'll definitely be place an order on the official site sometime in the near future.

Rainbow glitter mani

Loooooved this mani. The glitters are all from the Color Club glitter collection that came out a few years back, except for the blue, which is Pure Ice Strapless, I believe. They're all layered over a coresponding cream shade... I don't even remember all the ones I used. Um. Ruby Deer by China Glaze (red), Pippa by Zoya (yellow), Starboard by China Glaze (green), the blue... that might be Calypso Blue (?) by Orly and then Grape Pop by China Glaze (purple).

I do wish I had a true yellow glitter, but the gold worked okay layered over Zoya's Pippa, I think.

March madness?

Purchases made in the month of March. I think I need a twelve step program.

Shop

Just a quick head's up: added some polish I want to unload and some custom nail sets to my shop :D

OPI Simmer & Shimmer

I recently purchased three of the Burlesque glitters (better late than never?) and this was the first I wore. Loooove it. I'm wearing 2 (?) coats over China Glaze Sea Spray in the images.

Haul post soon-ish, hopefully. I have accumulated an embarrassing amount of polish this month, and I'm still expecting a shipment in the mail x_x

Milani Silver Dazzle

I hate that all I can think about when I see the name of this polish is Edward Cullen... It is pretty dazzling, though.

China Glaze Lightning Bolt

Crackle Glaze in Lightning Bolt over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Sea Breeze... I think. The sticker fell off on the bottle. Whatever it is, I love this combo!

There's definitely a learning curve with these. This is my second mani with the Crackle Glaze, and while I didn't think I did too bad the first time around, this one is definitely better. There's only one nail I'm not happy with since I applied a bit too thick, but other than that, I love it.

Haul!

My China Glaze Crackle Glaze came in yesterday and, oh my God, these things are SO much fun to play with. I didn't get the purple one because I wasn't too fond of the shimmer finish for a crackle polish, but I plan to place another order right after this entry to amend that. I NEED it. And I'll probably pick up a few back ups of at least the black and the white.

The Pop Beauty polished are from a different order that I got last week and haven't shared yet.

(China Glaze Crackle Glaze Lightning Bolt, Cracked Concert, Crushed Candy, Broken Hearted and Black Mesh)

(China Glaze Dorothy Who? and Grape Pop)

(Pop Beauty Twinkle, Radioactive, Ablaze, Turquoise, Ocean, XMas and Black)

The shimmer in both Radioactive and Ablaze are INCREDIBLE. I captured it pretty well with Radioactive, but not so much with Ablaze. It's the same kind of shimmer in both, though. So pretty.

Zoya Valerie

This is actually my second bottle of this shade. Not because I used up the first, but because I traded it. I wasn't impressed the first time around for some reason, but I gave it another go and actually really liked it this time. The gold shimmer in this didn't show up on the nail as prominently as I wanted the first time, which was why I let it go, but it totally showed up this time. The pictures don't capture it that great, but trust me, it was there.

Valentine mani!

This didn't turn out exactly as I envisioned, but I don't dislike it by any means. I used China Glaze Pelican Grey as a base and Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty over it. The little hearts are just fimo slices that I painted in the pastel shades from China Glaze's Up and Away collection. I used a perfume box my sister got from Victoria Secret as my original inspiration.

Zoya Casey (?)

Zoya Casey is one of the polishes I picked out as one of my three free from the company's most recent promotion. I did my research, checked out swatch after swatch and comparison photos. Now that I've got my mitts on it, I adore it, and completely understand why it's so popular. What was unexpected, though, is the glitter in it.

I wish I could have gotten better pictures, but I was losing the daylight. Still, you can kind of make it out, no? It's the slightest, most subtle bit of glitter, but it's in there.

Is this formula generally like this for this color and I just missed it in other swatches/descriptions? Or is mine part of a weird batch? It doesn't really matter to me either way, because I LOVE it. Totally my next mani color.

As an aside, my nails look naked, but I'm wearing Zoya Bela in the pics. Going on day five with no chips!

That'll do, Zoya. That'll do.
